SHARON BENGEL, COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Sharon has more than 25 years experience in writing and communications and more than 10 years experience with the Community Action network in Ohio. In addition to crafting messaging, she is experienced in website management and publication design.
Sharon began her career as a community journalist working in the Dayton, Ohio area. She also worked for several years in school district public relations before joining the Community Action network. In August 2021, she formed an LLC to help her business grow.
Storytelling is the "sweet spot" of Sharon's skill set and she enjoys using a variety of tools - traditional and emerging - to share the great stories of OUCAN members. When she's not telling stories, you can find Sharon bragging about her kids and grandkids, reading, cooking or reminding people to vote.
